Interviewing for Success RFP

Application Guidelines

The United Way of St. Clair County is requesting proposals for a training program to benefit low-income women from 25 – 60 years of age who reside in St. Clair County. Grant funding is for programs 6 weeks in duration and must be completed by April 1, 2016. 

Purpose

These grants are intended to train women in the skills needed to successfully obtain or enhance employment through preparing an appropriate resume, learning interview skills, and learning how to dress and present themselves for a workplace interview.
 

Grant Amounts

Grants valued up to $7,500 are available with a minimum of 20 women served and with 50% of the funds allocated to a client package which would include a resume and interview clothing.
 

Allowable Expenses

At least 50% of grant funds must be used to support the women served through materials and an interview outfit.  Remaining funds may be used to cover instructors and course material.

Outcomes

Interview experience/training, quality resume, interview portfolio, and clothing package.
 

Letter of Intent (LOI)

Only one program letter of intent and course description will be accepted per organization. A letter of intent with a brief program description should be submitted following this link, Interviewing for Success Initiative Link.  Organizations will be contacted if selected to proceed to the application stage of the process.
 

Reporting Requirements

Grant recipients must complete a final report detailing outcomes against program goals.
