* Emergency Services Fund – COVID-19 Relief Aid *
We are committed to ensuring that the county’s most vulnerable families have the support they need to weather the short- and long-term impacts of the Coronavirus outbreak.  In response to this pandemic, our Board has made additional funds available through our long-standing Emergency Services Fund.  Businesses, organizations, and individuals have joined us to stand united by donating to our Emergency Services Fund.  The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, Meijer, The Stebbins Family Fund, Consumers Energy, and DTE Foundation have already contributed significantly to the fund.  These donations will greatly help to extend aid to St. Clair County residents as the community endures COVID-19 and recovers from the aftermath.
The fund will be used for a multitude of efforts to help with recovery, including:
  • Food, housing, utilities assistance
  • Operational funding gaps for health and human service agencies
  • Access to services for vulnerable populations

1.  Please contact Brent with any program related questions.
2.  Funding is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
3.  Currently, funding is not available for individuals.  If you have an individual request, please call 2-1-1 for referrals.
4.  United Way of St. Clair County has a dedicated COVID-19 Emergency Funding Response Committee committed to review requests weekly.  
  • All applications completed by 10 a.m. each Friday will be submitted into the review process.  
  • Applicants may receive a set of questions from the COVID-19 Response Committee the Tuesday following Friday's submission. 
  • Response(s) are due the next day, Wednesday.  Delayed responses will alter the timeline. 
  • Applicants will receive a Funding Notification the following Monday.  
Please note:
  • Funds are intended to support established St. Clair County Residents.
  • It is critical for each applicant to justify and assure the request is unique to the COVID-19 crisis.
  • Duplication of services, and or programs, must be justified within the written application request.
It is recommended to incorporate the responses to the following questions within the application:
  • Is your request going beyond the normal services the organization is already providing?
  • What gaps have been recognized specific to COVID-19?
  • Are additional costs being incurred due to COVID-19?
