United Way of St. Clair County Approves Grant for Tri-Hospital EMS COVID-19 Equipment

United Way of St. Clair County (UWSCC) announces the granting of funds for Tri-Hospital EMS through their Emergency Services Fund ~ COVID-19 Relief.  Funds will provide for five UV commercial grade disinfectant devices and replacement UV bulbs.  This equipment has the potential to both reduce the spread of COVID-19 and prevent cross contamination and will be used in addition to chemical disinfects already used with the emergency response vehicles.  The proposal for UV devices from Tri-Hospital EMS was received through a collaboration with Community Foundation of St. Clair County.

It is time to rebuild the community.  It is going to take individuals, nonprofits, businesses, and government working together to get it done.  UWSCC is at the forefront of building stronger systems and communities that put people first.  Grants are still available for St. Clair County organizations and businesses with unexpected costs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Visit uwstclair.org/EmergencyServicesFund-Covid-19-ReliefAid to apply for a grant.

COVID-19 funds cannot be used for individuals seeking financial support at this time.  UWSCC recommends all individuals with any type of need to dial 2-1-1, or (888) 636-4211, to be connected with available information and resources.  Visit uwstclair.org/HealthFirst for additional household resources.
